Codie Bascue

Bobsled and Skeleton

Codie Bascue began sliding when he was eight years old. His grandfather started a junior bobsled program at his school. He started the sport, fell in love and has been doing it since. He has since grown into one of the nation's leading men's bobsled pilots, sweeping races on the North American Cup against accomplished veterans from around the world.

Bascue says his first ride was "amazing," and he was "immediately hooked."  He enjoys weightlifting, playing video games, football and basketball.  His favorite place to eat is Five Guys, and his motto is, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

FUN FACTS

- He has a soft spot in his heart for dogs. 
- In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar, hanging out with friends, playing golf, shooting guns and bows, hunting and fishing. 
- He has more supplements in his closet than clothes.
