Board Member

Steve Mesler was appointed to the United States Olympic Committee board of directors in March 2015.

Mesler is a three-time Olympian in bobsled, having helped Team USA win its first gold medal in the four-man event in 62 years in 2010.

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Mesler is the co-founder, president and CEO of Classroom Champions, an international education organization which connects Olympians, Paralympians and hopefuls with students to help motivate, educate and inspire youth and transform classrooms in high-need schools. The program earned international recognition in 2013, when it was awarded the Fair Play Diploma by the International Fair Play Committee.

Mesler also serves as principal of Shift210 consulting group, in which he works with multi-national corporations to increase employee development, leadership abilities, team performance and community engagement. He is also a noted motivational speaker and has previous experience as a TV host and sports commentator.

Mesler earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise sciences and education from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He currently resides in Calgary, Alberta.
