WALTER GLOVER
Chief Financial Officer

Walter (Walt) Glover has served as the United States Olympic Committee’s chief financial officer since January 2005. He is tasked with the overall management and supervision of the organization’s financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, risk management, mail services, purchasing and warehousing operations, travel services, information technology, audit and USOC retirement plan administration.

Glover joined the USOC in September 2000 as director of budgets and analysis, and then held the position of controller from May 2002-January 2005.

Previously, Glover worked for Altria. During a 20-year career with the company, Glover held various financial management positions, including Southwest region director of finance (1996-2000). In addition, Glover was an external auditor for the Celanese Corporation (1979-80), and a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen & Company (1975-79).

A certified public accountant in North Carolina since 1978, Glover is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. In addition, he is actively involved as a board member in several community organizations, including the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation (treasurer), Pikes Peak Metropolitan YMCA (vice chair), Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Ent Federal Credit Union Supervisory Committee. He is a member of the El Pomar Foundation Emerging Leaders CEO Roundtable Task Force and the Pikes Peak Roundtable. Glover is also a long-time member of the advisory board for the School of Business at his alma mater, North Carolina A&T State University.

Glover has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from NCA&T and a master’s degree in business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also a former officer in the U.S. Air Force.

Glover and his wife, Willia, have a son, Kory, and a daughter, Melanie, and reside in Colorado Springs, Colo.
