In the Community

As the steward of the Olympic and Paralympic Movements in the United States, the USOC recognizes the need to be active and engaged partners within the national and international sport community. To that end, the USOC orchestrates a variety of community outreach and education programs to ensure that U.S. athletes stay active and engaged in sport from the beginner stages to the elite National Governing Body level.

These programs range from athlete outreach opportunities to partnerships with community sport organizations and the annual Olympic Day celebration, which promotes Olympic ideals in addition to overall fitness and well-being. Team USA’s dedication to civic duty and community involvement is just one of the ways the USOC aims to play a leadership role in the Olympic and Paralympic movements, both at home and abroad.
